1st Step....Money and a new job

When I was living out West,  I had more than enough money for everything I needed, and more than a few things I wanted.  Since moving back, however, things have not seemed to go that way. 1st, I was told that my hospital experience in Washington state didn't count toward any experience to get a job here in PA.  So, I signed up to get my CNA.  I was told that you could start working 120 days before taking your test, yet every job I applied to said they wanted me to have my CNA first.  While I was waiting to take my test, I had several offers at nursing homes waiting....I take my test...and now can't get a position at any of them because they aren't currently hiring.
SOOOO according to all of these wise teachers, who MUST know something as their lives are pretty great....I am somehow blocking not only money, but a good steady job from coming to me.  I certainly consciously want to stop working at the diner (tips have become few and far between and I only make $2.83 p/h so not exactly rolling in the dough!) and want to work at a great nursing home....specifically Moravian Village where I did my clinicals.  Subconsciously, however, I must not be believing.  So, I am going to try a trick recommended by almost every spiritual leader out there....I am going to "act as if."
Apparently, you can trick your mind into feeling like you already have what it is you want....by doing something different.  Gabrielle Bernstein recommends moving (jumping rope, riding a bike, dancing....anything) to get yourself happy and out of the normal routine of doing whatever it is you do day to day.  So, in also wanting to be more fit and toned....I'm going to start tomorrow by waking up at 530 (which is what I would have to do if I had the 7-3 shift at Moravian) and working out (thank you pinterest for the free workouts!) and while working out saying over and over again how happy and grateful I am to have 30 hours a week at Moravian Village. Also, apparently the key is to stay in that frame of mind.  So...I am going to attempt to be aware of my thoughts during the day, and stop every hour or so to say (to myself....remember, I'm trying to NOT be insane and that includes looking/sounding it haha) the affirmation recommended which is "Thank you God for all the blessings that I have and for all of the blessings I am now receiving.  I am a money magnet, money comes to me freely and easily.  I am so happy and grateful for my wonderful job at Moravian Village.  I am so grateful to have more than (insert amount here) $2,000 in my bank account!"
I have to admit, just typing that out and imaging it brought a smile to my face.  So...if nothing else, maybe it will help me to feel better...and in turn do better.  Classes start tomorrow.....and, hopefully, my new job at Moravian shortly there after!
